He serves as Core Faculty in the Psychiatry Residency Program at Saint Elizabeths Hospital and holds academic appointments as Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at George Washington University School of Medicine and Assistant Clinical Professor at Saba University School of Medicine.

Board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), Dr. Wadhawan is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Society of Biological Psychiatry, the American Psychiatric Association, the Washington Psychiatric Society, and the Indian Psychiatric Society.
